Amazon-owned Audible has always offered some form of free trial, which is usually one month (and therefore one audiobook) on the house. If you’re not yet an Audible subscriber, however, there’s a new deal that may be of interest: Amazon Prime members can now get a 3-month free trial of Audible (three free books, one per month).
If you’re not interested in staying with the service past the free trial, you’ll need to remember to cancel your account by the start of the fourth month. You also won’t get all three books at once; you’ll need to wait until the start of each month to receive your audiobook credit. But if you’re curious about Audible, or just want three free audiobooks, it’s not a bad deal.
I’ve been a paying Audible customer since 2004, so there are no free audiobooks for me, but if you’re interested in checking out the 3-month free trial, head over to the offer page at Amazon. The regular price for the standard Audible subscription is $14.95 per month, and you retain access to all downloaded books (including books obtained during the free trial) even if you cancel your subscription.
Note: This is not a paid promotion by Amazon or Audible, but if you do choose to sign up for the trial, using the links above will help support TekRevue.
