Samsung is gearing up to release its first “SmartWatch” next month but new rumors continue to support the claim that Apple won’t have a product on the market for at least a year. Sources claim the eventual iWatch will cost $149 to $229 and be marketed as an iPod replacement.
Samsung will look to preempt Apple next week by announcing its first smartwatch device, the Galaxy Gear, according to statements made Tuesday by a Samsung executive. The device will reportedly feature a non-flexible display and be marketed toward “young trend setters.”
