It’s still April 23rd in most of the United States, but it’s already Apple Watch launch day in other parts of the world, and the dedicated folks at iFixit have already obtained their wearable sacrifice for one of the company’s legendary teardowns.
The Xbox One costs $90 more to build than the PS4, according to estimates released this week by research firm IHS. The most expensive component for both consoles is the AMD APU, but the Xbox One’s Kinect sensor, at $75, accounts for the majority of the cost difference.
The iPhone 5s has just gone on sale in North America, and repair firm iFixit already has a nice teardown of Apple’s newest flagship. The teardown revealed a very similar layout to the iPhone 5, although the new Touch ID and a glued-down battery could cause some repair headaches.
