Kickstarter projects often have a hefty dose of hype, but here’s an interesting one that’s gone relatively unnoticed thus far: the Life-Spot Multi-Device Charger. The triangular charging station features eight retractable cords that can power a variety of devices via two Lightening connectors, two 30-pin dock connectors, and four micro USB connectors. Each cord also has a corresponding insert that can safely hold a mobile phone or other small device while it charges.
The Life-Spot is being positioned as useful in both commercial and personal environments; small businesses and restaurants could use one or two to provide a convenient charging station for customers, while home users can keep one by their desk to power an ever-increasing number of gadgets.
The standard price of the Life-Spot will be set at $149, although there are limited Kickstarter options to pick one up at a lower price. The project currently has a long way to go to meet its funding goal of $50,000, but with 23 days left in the campaign, you may want to check it out.
