Xcode 5 Simulator Shows What iOS 7 Looks Like on the iPad

When Apple released a beta version of iOS 7 to developers last week, the company only made available versions for the iPhone and iPod touch, while promising that the iPad beta of the software would be available within “a few weeks.” Thanks to some investigation into the new Xcode 5 beta, however, users can get a taste of what the next version of iOS will look like on Apple’s tablet devices.

German tech site ApfelPage has posted screenshots from Xcode’s simulator which show the beta of iOS 7 formatted for the iPad’s larger display.

Screenshots are provided for Notification Center, Contacts, Game Center, Spotlight searching, Settings, Safari, Maps, and the new Control Center.

iOS 7 remains in development so just about anything is still subject to change, but these shots give users a taste of what their iPads will look like later this year. While Apple has not made any official announcements, most expect the company to release the public version of iOS 7 this fall alongside new hardware.
