Refurbisher Lëkki Selling Beautifully Restored Nintendo Consoles

With systems like the upcoming RetroN 5 whetting appetites for classic console gaming, many gamers are moving away from emulators, preferring to play their childhood favorites on the original hardware. French refurbisher Lëkki recognizes this trend and is now offering beautifully restored and updated classic consoles, including the Super Nintendo, Game Boy, and our personal favorite, the Nintendo 64.

Lëkki collects old consoles, tears them apart, and then reassembles the working components into nicely refurbished units. As a bonus, they also repaint the devices, giving them a colorful modern flair. Buyers are treated to unique consoles in pristine condition, perfect for reliving all-night gaming sessions with GoldenEye or Mario Kart 64.

But these unique features don’t come cheap. Nintendo 64 packages, which include a single controller and Mario 64, go for €120 (about $165), while the older and rarer Super Nintendo systems cost €150 (about $206).

The full range of colors and consoles are on display at Lëkki’s website, along with other refurbished products such as mobile phones. They’re certainly more expensive than picking up a used console off eBay or at your local garage sale, but they just might be the perfect gift for that special retro gamer in your life.
