Microsoft announced Friday that it plans to “retire” older versions of the Skype desktop application for OS X and Windows in order to set a new service and functionality baseline for customers. Those running Skype 6.13 for Windows or Skype 6.14 for OS X, or older, will need to update to the latest versions when Microsoft makes the cut-off in the next few months.
