The 840 may not be as fast as its well-reviewed “Pro” sibling, but at $0.52 per gigabyte it’s a great price on a drive that will safely outperform a 2.5-inch hard drive. Newegg and Amazon have the drive currently priced at $370 and $330, respectively.
