Ten Great iOS Apps for Toddlers

Touch, Look, Listen: My First Words

Platforms: iPhone, iPad, iPod touch
Price: $1.99

Everyone remembers their favorite childhood pop-up book. Now today’s little ones can have a digital pop-up book with Touch, Look, Listen. The app features 14 categories of colorful images rendered in motion-controlled 3D. Kids learn animals, body parts, members of a family, household items, and more. As kids tap on each object, they see its name appear on the screen and hear a friendly narrator pronounce it for them. It’s also a great app for teaching young children a second language, with support for French, German, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese in addition to the default English.

Wow, this is a cool list indeed. Fish School has got to be my favorite, mainly because I haven’t yet tried most of the other ones mentioned here. My toddler is very hard to please, but surprisingly I’ve found that he likes puzzles of all apps. One of the best actually is Woozzle ( https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/free-toddler-puzzle-woozzle/id514617947?mt=8 ). An added bonus is that it’s free and provided plenty of puzzles.
