Movie bundles have long been part of the buying process for physical media, and now Apple is making an aggressive push into the bundle territory from a digital perspective. The company launched a large “Movie Bundle” sale via the iTunes Store early Tuesday.
The iTunes movie bundle deal combines all of the films from various popular series into a single purchase at a reduced price. Currently, Apple features bundles for The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, The Matrix, Star Trek, Die Hard, Jurassic Park, and more. The films are offered in both SD and HD versions although, notably, there is no difference in price between the two for some bundles as of the time of this article.
Those interested in any of the film series may want to act fast. The bundles offer significant discounts (in excess of 75 percent off for some of them) and it’s not clear how long the sale will last.
